Back n The Trees

I am still recovering from the tear to my left knee, but after several months, and surgury, I am back at it. The swimming, and biking, is helping me to once again, be a climber...
Now if I could just shed some of the pounds I put on while repairing the knee!

Ahead of the firewood game!

We started burning about three years ago, two stoves in da house. Anyway, I have burnt everything I had, wet, dry, green, gray, you name it, I was burning it. I wanted to get ahead of the game, and season up some wood, for better burning.
And this year, a friend cleared his new piece of land, and I bought 25 cord from him. This is one of the larger piles, probably about six cord. There is wood stacked all over the place! And should be enough for the next three years! I cut it all, brought it home in rounds, had a hydraulic splitter for one week rental, and have now been stacking for three days!

33 Days in a row

Warm weather has allowed me to swim the distance around my pond for 33 days in a row.
Today I got out the underwater digital and shot a couple of self portraits for fun.
What great weather we are having, and as it comes, so does my strength in the water!
Our pond is six acres, and I can make the lap in 13 minutes now!
